Lovegood Legacy - Generation 2.1

The first instalment of the Lovegood Legacy ended on the oh-so-unusual Legacy cliffhanger of Luna going into labour. I am now able to reveal to you that the result of this was...

...a baby! Who'd have guessed, right? His name is Seamus, and he has blonde hair, Luna's light blue eyes and her number one skin.

Luna and Sullivan immediately prove themselves brilliant parents.

An only child is risky business in the world of Legacies, so Luna gets pregnant again straight away.

Sullivan is kind enough to paint her official founder portrait.

Because babies are dull, we'll just fast forward to Seamus's birthday.

I believe the correct term is "disgustingly cute".

Sullivan is actually a far better parent than I led you to believe. He autonomously played with all the kids, which usually I only see Family Sims do.

POP! This is actually the second pop, as I missed the first. I'm pretty sure y'all will live, though.

Why is it that the pretty people only ever walk past when the oldest heir prospect is a toddler?

Luna is horrified by the injustice of it all!

Actually, she's just going into labour with heir prospect number two.

It's a girl! Meet Hannah, who has blond hair, Luna's eyes and Sullivan's skin tone two.

Seamus protests against the arrival of his baby sister by growing up.

He's just as adorable as a child.

Promotion! (Don't worry, I'm only going to do this with Luna. She gets special treatment, being the founder and all.)

Luna finds herself pregnant for the third and final time.

Hannah has her birthday.

As a toddler, she's just as adorable as Seamus was.

Final pop of the generation!

And straight into baby time.

Luna and Sullivan's third child is another daughter, Narcissa, with blond hair, light blue eyes and number two skintone.

Video games are Serious Business.

With baby-making over and done with, Luna can get on with the task of making it to the top of her career path.

Flying baby! (AKA: Narcissa has a birthday)

She looks like an angel as a toddler, doesn't she?

Looks can be deceiving. This is the only time I've ever seen Luna looking grumpy.

Hannah grows up so she can escape into the Big Kids' bedroom away from the noise.

Hello Miss Pretty!

Seamus was pretty much the definition of Family Sim as a kid. If Legacy Aspirations were chosen by personality rather than a roll of the dice, I'd have had no trouble at all choosing his.

Sullivan is the first bathtub pirate of the Legacy.

See Narcissa's wistful look? It's courtesy of Sullivan and his seven neat points giving her a bottle only to snatch it away again to clean it up.

In contrast, this wistful look is due to Narcissa wanting out of her crib, but her parents being too busy woohooing in the car to do anything about it ;)

Normally I wait until all kids are of school age before calling the Headmaster, but Sullivan was struggling Aspiration-wise, given that Fortune Sims don't make good founder-spouses, as there's not really a lot of spare money lying around to "Buy A Painting Worth More Than $4000" or any of the other equally ridiculous Fortune wants.

Hannah is my first ever Sim kid to jump on the beds.

As Luna and Sullivan were both working, trying to ferret away enough money to build a decent house for the third generation of kids and for Sullivan to achieve his LTW, I was forced to hire a nanny.

Despite appearances, she was actually very good. I totally lucked out. No half-prepared lobster on the kitchen benches, and beds made in between kiddie chores!

Speaking of the kids, it was Narcissa's turn to grow up.

So pretty :)

Seamus's arse explodes in celebration!

As a side-effect, he becomes a teen. The outfit suggests he thinks he belongs in the Lawson Legacy (all-gay, all the time!) but he's still cute.

Seamus Lovegood
Appearance: Blond, light blue eyes, skin tone one.
Aspiration: Romance
LTW: Woohoo with 20 different Sims (hard, but do-able)
Attraction: Likes stink and full face makeup, but doesn't like fit people
Attributes: Neat (7) Outgoing (9) Lazy (1) Playful (8) Nice (10)

As a fledgling Romance Sim, Seamus's major want is to have his very first kiss. He brings Katelyn Chalmers home from school. She'll do!

Another promotion!

Unfortunately, Seamus still has some fine-tuning to do on his Romance Sim skillz. Rejected!

He doesn't let it get him down, though, instead heading into town to buy himself a slightly less hideous outfit. The only teen there is the sales assistant, David Simpson (any relation to Lucy, I wonder?), but apart from the hair, he's pretty cute. Seamus adds him to the list.

After a change of clothes, Seamus is looking pretty damn cute himself.

This walk-by is far too pretty to be allowed to pass by un-harassed. Seamus dashes outside to greet her.

She's having none of his sweet talk, however. He's not doing very well at this Romance business so far :(

Narcissa, however, is a WINNAR!

Actually, all three of the kids were sitting on A+ marks, but I had a hack that conflicted with the A+ animation, so this was the first one that happened after I took it out.

Promotion! Luna's as sick of the helicopter as I am.

Seamus invites Katelyn around and she brings a friend with her – Shenene McArthur.

Shenene is a lot more open to Seamus's advances than her friend is.

A lot more open. First kiss!

Seamus realises that he rather likes this kissing business, so he goes back in for more.

Seeing just how much fun a teen can have, Hannah decides to grow up. (Or something *g*)

She's pretty, but the chin worries me a little...

Hannah Lovegood
Appearance: Blond, light blue eyes, skin tone two.
Aspiration: Knowledge
LTW: Become a Cult Leader (easy-peasy)
Attraction: Likes underwear and brown hair, but doesn't like blond hair
Attributes: Neat (10) Outgoing (10) Lazy (1) Playful (8) Grouchy (2)

(Yeah, her stats pretty much suck for a Knowledge Sim.)

Katelyn finally gives it up – her lip virginity, that is ;)

SEAMUS: Hello! Would you like me to break your heart in the future by cheating on you with all your friends?

If Hannah looks confused, it's because David was in the middle of a date with Seamus when she left home.

The clothes shop is full of teens, but the only one who isn't completely uninterested in her is this girl, Beth Toyonaga. Hannah fails at human interaction!

Back home, Seamus is busy adding David to his list of conquests.

Hannah wants her first kiss, so she invites Beth over for a date.

HANNAH: You want me to hug her? EW!

Despite her hugging aversion, she manages to claim her first kiss with Beth. (I missed it, because they counted the peck they gave each other at the end of their date as the first kiss. )

Seamus invites Shenene over for a second date, and falls in love with her. They're actually very cute together. It's a pity he's a Romance Sim ;)

This is Seamus's version of notches on the bed-post – a shelf full of dream date flowers from his conquests above his bed.

Uh, Seamus? That letter was actually for your sister. I can see why you'd get confused, though, what with two girlfriends and a boyfriend on the go at once...

Luna makes it to the top of her career path!

Narcissa finally joins her older siblings in the Wonderful World Of Teendom.

Narcissa Lovegood
Appearance: Blond, light blue eyes, skin tone two.
Aspiration: Family
LTW: Graduate three children from college (easy, but time-consuming)
Attraction: Likes fit sims and red hair, but doesn't like blonds
Attributes: Neat (7) Outgoing (9) Lazy (1) Playful (8) Nice (10)

You know she rocks because she ages into a decent outfit.

Of course, she also rocks because she's gorgeous :D

First Pingu of the Legacy!

Hannah has collected the standard eight scholarships and her first kiss, so she heads off to uni.

Seamus, however, feels the need to gain one more girlfriend before he joins her there. This one is Ally Fairchild.

He scores an expensive vase out of the date, so it was worth it.

All that out of the way, he heads off to uni... in his pyjamas.

Narcissa remains at home, because she still has a first kiss to gain. She brings this 50s throw-back home from school. Eh, she'll do.

With her lips thoroughly de-virginised, Narcissa heads off to join her siblings at uni... which means one thing – Heir Choosing Time!

Will it be Seamus...

...or Narcissa? You choose!

EDIT: Poll ended! Thanks for voting :)

I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, but I'll be letting you guys do the heir-choosing each generation... although I do reserve the right to take any kids I really dislike out of the running ;)

EDIT: I forgot to link to the family tree!

It was /really/ hard to choose between Narcissa and Seamus. But romance sims can be kinda annoying.
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:24 am (UTC)
Romance Sims keep things interesting, but they make for lousy parents/spouses *g*
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:25 am (UTC)
Which is kinda the point of Legacies.

Breeding humans like animals. LIKE ANIMALS!
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:39 am (UTC)

(Speaking of animals, we had a snake scare just before. It turned out to be a blue tongue, thank God. Love snakes... as long as they're nowhere near Tricky.)
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:49 am (UTC)
I know we have snakes around here, but I only see the lizards.

We had a snake scare of a different kind, Giovanni got out of her tank! I found her under my bed in a VERY BAD MOOD.
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:56 am (UTC)
We've spotted a few since we moved here and have had to get the snake catcher in once when we had our old dog, Penny, because venomous snakes and dogs don't mix. This is the first blue tongue I've seen, though. Dad and I herded it to the thick part of the garden so Tricky wouldn't be able to hurt it.

It's lucky she's not at full size yet ;)

We have a blue tongue that hangs around here. I can only assume it was caught and half eaten by one of the falcons at some point, because its covered in horrible scarring.

We also had a blind lizard, but I think he might have run foul of a kookaburra.
Oct. 10th, 2007 04:03 am (UTC)
I don't think this one was too much at threat from Tricky, given that he'd back off every time it hissed, but I'd feel dreadful if he did hurt it. I hope the local Kookas keep away too *g*

Most of our dog/wildlife dramas come from Pheonix trying to dig up the echidnas. They're fine--she comes back with cuts all over her face and legs where she's been jabbed with the spines and bleeds everywhere.

I don't like her stressing them out though. At least she leaves the wallabies along. The female I was worried the German Sheppards had killed is back and has a big, healthy joey with her.
Oct. 10th, 2007 04:15 am (UTC)
I am very glad that we don't get echidnas, because Trick would probably do himself some major damage. I'm pretty sure he'd be scared of a wallaby, though. At least he would as soon as it started hopping.
Oct. 10th, 2007 07:23 am (UTC)
I guess the difference is Pheonix weighs 40kgs...
Oct. 10th, 2007 07:34 am (UTC)
Yeah, that's five times as much as Trick *g*
Oct. 10th, 2007 02:23 am (UTC)
Awww, they're so pretty! I have to say that I think Narcissa is the best though *nods*
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:26 am (UTC)
She's my personal favourite, simply because I'm swayed by her pretty, but all three kids are fun to play, so I basically win whichever way the voting goes ;)
Oct. 10th, 2007 02:35 am (UTC)
Ehehehee. Narcissa looks like this girl who used to work at the movie theatre with me, bow tie and all.
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:26 am (UTC)
I have no idea why she decided to age into a bartender's uniform, but it actually kind of suits her *g*
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:50 am (UTC)
I'm actually considering doing one of these legacy things and stealing the fuglacy idea, because for reasons I can't figure out, my really pretty sim girl is in love with that Nervous Experiment or something dude with the pointy chin and equally pointy hair. She's preggy with their first child right now, and I worry.
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:58 am (UTC)
You should definitely do a Legacy. I want to do a fuglacy one day myself, but not while I've two others on the go, so I can do it vicariously through you in the meantime!
Oct. 10th, 2007 02:38 am (UTC)
Dude, all of your Sims are amazingly gorgeous.

Even the townies you have walking by are gorgeous. LOL.
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:28 am (UTC)
I have my fair share of hideous townies - it's just that I only give the really hideous ones any screen time ;) Admittedly, most of my townies are okay looking since I changed my face templates. I don't understand why Maxis feels the need to make all their Sims racial caricatures.
Oct. 10th, 2007 05:11 am (UTC)
Is that how you un-uglied your townies? Face-template replacement? Because that is sort of awesome.
Oct. 10th, 2007 05:17 am (UTC)
Yup, that's right. I've a collection of templates from about five different makers. They basically keep the general types, but get rid of the most exaggerated features. My favourite set is this one, but unfortunately she's only done seven so far.
Oct. 10th, 2007 11:05 pm (UTC)
She finished them, actually. If you look through the whole thread, someone put a link to a full download of all the templates. I use them :D
Oct. 10th, 2007 11:10 pm (UTC)
I had thought she only had the complete set for adults, rather than all the ages. I shall have to go check it out!
Oct. 10th, 2007 02:42 am (UTC)
I like Hannah the best. The arse explosion made me lol. And the long distance backrub. Lmao.
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:29 am (UTC)
They did that twice. And there was no reason for it, because the block's completely level and there was plenty of space for them to do it properly! Sims are scary o.O
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:48 am (UTC)
It's official- blond people are pretty ;_;
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:59 am (UTC)
I'm a fan of brunettes myself, which is bad when it comes to Legacy because those genes are dominant. If I had my way, I'd end up with ten generations of brown haired kids, and there's no fun in that ;)
Oct. 10th, 2007 06:54 am (UTC)
all your NPC sims are sooo pretty!

Narcissa all the way. ♥
Oct. 10th, 2007 07:32 am (UTC)
I've had more than my share of good looking ones this update... it makes me worry for future generations ;)
Oct. 10th, 2007 12:43 pm (UTC)
Seamus Seamus Seamus!!!! =)

Your sims rock. :)
Oct. 10th, 2007 11:01 pm (UTC)
Aw, thank you!
Oct. 10th, 2007 01:10 pm (UTC)
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous blond family you got there! :)
Oct. 10th, 2007 11:02 pm (UTC)
Why thank you!
Oct. 10th, 2007 01:29 pm (UTC)
I love Seamus and his manwhore ways!
Oct. 10th, 2007 11:03 pm (UTC)
Romance Sims are so much fun. Although it's significantly easier to get them snogs than it is sex ;)
Oct. 10th, 2007 06:30 pm (UTC)
I love your legacy and all three kids - but my favorite is Seamus ... *drools*
Oct. 10th, 2007 11:05 pm (UTC)
He's a good looking boy, isn't he? His genes served him well *g*
Oct. 12th, 2007 08:18 am (UTC)
I finally had a moment to look at this. Bah on work.

I love Narcissa and will be rooting for her regardless of whom is chosen. XD
Oct. 12th, 2007 09:36 am (UTC)
She's gorgeous, isn't she? I think she's the first Sim I've ever had who was equally cute at all life stages. Usually the cute kids turn out hideous *g*
Oct. 16th, 2007 10:24 am (UTC)
The toddler outfits are so damn cute :D

Is Seamus' hair a maxis one or a download? It's so pretty!
Oct. 16th, 2007 10:48 am (UTC)
I love Seamus' little duffle coat :D

It's Raonjena Male Hair 21 :)
Oct. 16th, 2007 12:12 pm (UTC)
And the mittens! Not to mention the little hats.

Oct. 16th, 2007 12:26 pm (UTC)
A lot of people complain when babies age into the toddler tuxes, but I think they're my favourites *g*
