As always, I'm not going to be keeping score, and am going to leave in my usual hacks. I specifically sought out a heterosexual partner for Luna, but in the future I'll probably let heirs decide – they usually tend to let you know if they prefer t3h gay omg ;) To keep things HP oriented, all children will be named after HP characters, usually according to their colouring. Obviously, they'll be named long before their personality becomes apparent, so it'll be no more than a cool coincidence whenever a name is particularly fitting.
So, without further ado – the Lovegood Legacy!
Meet Luna Lovegood, our Legacy founder. Luna is interested in science fiction, the paranormal and bearing lots of babies. Actually, she'll be doing that last bit whether she likes it or not.
Appearance: Blond, light blue eyes, skin tone one.
LTW: Max seven skills (totally do-able)
Attraction: Likes red and brown hair, but doesn't like vampires (a bit OOC, I know)
Attributes: Neat (6) Shy (3) Lazy (2) Serious (4) Nice (10)
This is Luna's sumptuous dwelling. Note the artistic lack of windows and wall coverings.
Grass is the latest thing when it comes to floor coverings, you know.
As Luna doesn't have any cooking points yet, I don't trust her to work anything involving a flame. Luckily, cereal is pretty difficult to burn.
Once her hunger bar is back in the green, Luna is set to work.
Cooking points don't bring the money, however, so Luna is forced to get a proper job as well. She wants something in the medical career, so I oblige and she takes a position as an emergency medical technician.
While Luna is job-hunting, this lady walks by, proving that there are always plenty of good looking Sims... and they're always the wrong gender for your founder or current heir.
All is not lost, however, because the welcoming committee is here!
Luna gets some practice at talking to
Mullet fug has totally heard of the prophecy, too!
Unfortunately, Luna fails when it comes to successful small talk.
She tries her hand at befriending doggies instead.
Her first friend is a wolf. Unfortunately I do not have a multi-species babymaking hack, so doggie friends are not enough.
(Plz note: If there is a multi-species babymaking hack in existence, I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT.)
The marriage and babies thing isn't happening, so Luna heads off for her first day of work.
(Actually this is entirely my fault. I foolishly ignored the complete randomosity of chance cards. I have now gone back to hitting 'ignore' every single time.)
To top the day off, Luna starts the very first Legacy fire. Unfortunately, the fire department sends a woman to put it out.
When Luna goes out to collect her bills, I notice that the postie isn't too bad to look at.
Luna greets him in her nightie, but when I tell her to check him out, she decides he's disgusting. Coming from the woman who was all too happy to chat to mullet fug, that's probably a compliment.
And so our Founder is sent Downtown to find herself a sucker. She has ridiculous amounts of chemistry with this Snape wannabe, but when they talk, they don't get along at all.
After failing entirely to find any possibilities in the first two locations she tries, Luna ends up at the modern art gallery and is about to give up and go home when this walks in off the street.
Luna tells him it was totally fated that they meet. The hottie – Sullivan Haggerty – isn't particularly interested in what the crystal ball has to say about him, but it doesn't matter, because they have a lightning bolt and his number is now safely stored in her phonebook for future
Luna works her way back up to the position she was in before
After a long phone conversation to build their relationship points, Luna invites Sullivan over.
He greets her by autonomously making out with her. Um. Yay ACR?
Buoyed by such a warm reception, Luna asks Sullivan what he does for a living. She may not be materialistic, but I am. Raising babies without cots and money for milk isn't fun.
It's all good, though, because as it turns out, Sullivan is a Business Tycoon (top of the Business career) and thus perfect spouse potential. Poor boy didn't stand a chance.
Luna totally crushes on good providers.
Another promotion! Knowledge Sims are so easy to push through the career ranks, given that most of their wants centre around learning skills.
With her promotion bonus, Luna builds an actual, separate bedroom. And buys a double bed, because she has a boyfriend now ;)
Luna invites Sullivan over for a proper date. He's so impressed by the bedroom that he promptly crushes on Luna.
The date is a resounding success. BFF yo.
The bunch of roses he drops off is very sweet, but some wallpaper might've been more useful.
Legacies don't allow for long courtships, so the very next day, Luna and Sullivan head out on another date. Bowling is totally romantic, you know.
Luna obviously thinks so.
FUTURE LOVEGOOD CHILDREN: Mummy, why did you fall in love with Daddy?
LUNA: He scored a strike on our second date!
FUTURE LOVEGOOD CHILDREN: *scarred for life*
They both want to woohoo, so they head back to Luna's place to do so.
Apparently sleeping with men does make them fall in love with you after all! The teen magazines lied!
Immediately after shagging, they both roll the want to get engaged. That must've been some damn good woohoo!
Luna is a modern girl, so she doesn't mind being the one to propose.
Sullivan says yes, and moves in. He brings $7000, a well-paying job and a stack of skill points.
Sullivan Lovegood (Haggerty)
Appearance: Blond, green eyes, skin tone two
LTW: Earn $100,000
Attraction: Likes fatness and formal clothing, but doesn't like underwear
Attributes: Neat (7) Shy (4) Lazy (1) Playful (8) Nice/Grouchy (5)
He also brings a strange collection of possessions. Who needs two electrodance spheres or whatever the heck they're called? He also had a DJ booth (sold) a karaoke machine (sold) and a giant pot plant, among other things.
Thanks to Sullivan's money, the house is renovated. It's a little odd looking, but it's not the final product, so it doesn't matter.
Marriage spam! They were married quickly, before Sullivan decided to develop a fear of marrying a
With no honeymoon to take up their time, they decide to get started on a family straight away.
Sullivan's job means that he gets picked up and dropped off by a helicopter every day. This was fun for the first time and the first time only.
I finally give Sullivan a makeover and am a little concerned by his chin. Otherwise, he's still pretty, though.
Luna achieves her final promotion for a long while, given that she'll be baby-wrangling from now until the chances of a decent looking heir are suitably high.
She decides it's time to tell Sullivan that they've a baby on the way.
SULLIVAN: A baby, eh? Babies are okay, I guess...
SULLIVAN: ...You know what are really cool, though? Violins! Why don't we get a violin instead?!
(Okay, so her pregnancy was totally un-photo-worthy.)
Because clichés are fun... we finish on a typical Legacy cliff-hanger. Will it be a boy, a girl or a Crumple-Horned Snorkack? Tune in next time to find out!
